Depending on the amount of the investment, the properties that can be used in the application vary:

  • The minimum amount for the real estate that is over 30 years of age in low population density and will be renewed by architectural project is 280.000 Euro.
  • The minimum amount for the real estate that is over 30 years of age in high population density and will be renewed by architectural project is 350.000 Euro.
  • The minimum amount for any real estate in low population density is 400,000 Euro.
    The minimum amount for any real estate in high population density is 500.000 Euro.

Can I invest with bank loan?

You cannot use mortgage loan in Portugal for real estate investment. However, you can get a loan from your bank in your country.

How long does it take to apply?

You can have a residence permit in Portugal between 3 and 8 months after the investment.
